Beanbenders - A great San Francisco Bay Area venue for improvised and experimental music.

Cannonball - Superfunk hip hop jazz shit from San Francisco.

Critical Studies and Experimental Practices - A section of the Graduate Music Department at the University of California, San Diego.

Groundation - San Francisco Bay Area-based original roots reggae group.

Improvising Across Borders - Continuing the dialogue on improvisation that began as a symposium at the University of California, San Diego in April 1999, this site is a meeting of great minds.

Lou's Records - Lou's is the best place to find interesting used CD's, records and tapes in the San Diego area.

Matthew Goodheart's Improvised Music - San Francisco based improviser. Information on many improvisers based out of the west coast (Glenn Spearman, Donald Robinson, Garth Powell and others).

Return to One - San Diego-based group led by percussionist Nathan Hubbard.

Robert E. Sweet (Creative Music Studio) - A very rare insider's perspective on the Creative Music Studio.

San Francisco Mime Troupe - For decades the Mime Troupe has used its theatre productions to comment on political and social issues. Find out more about the Troupe and when they'll be in your area on their site.

SCAM Magazine (Sonoma County Arts and Media) - Deadalus Howell's interesting approach to the artistic going-on's in Sonoma County, California.
